Biomedical engineering requires hands-on experience in the design and handling of electronic circuits, assemblies and medical devices. In hospitals, in industry and in scientific research, graduates are employed in the design, application, (further) development and maintenance of medical devices, test equipment and production systems. In this course, graduates acquire the necessary practical experience.

The regulations and standards for the lifecycle of medical devices relevant to medical technology require highly structured documentation and a strictly evidence-based procedure to ensure the safety of patients and medical users. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the products must be determined and documented by appropriate evidence. The course provides numerous application examples and hands-on experience.
Example projects from previous years will be provided in the moodle course.
